Q: How would you like your documents?

At Patents Plus we have a wide range of delivery options. Our most popular option is to upload your documents to our secure server where you will be able to open/view, or download from anywhere you have an internet connection, 24/7. No more wondering where you left the CD, or lugging around a paper copy; your files will be stored on our server, so they will be available to you at your fingertips, under your reference/docket number. No more shipping charges!!! Other options include all the regulars: FedEx, UPS, DHL and USPS. If you already have an account with any of these companies and would like to be billed directly from them, just list your account number in the appropriate box on the secure order page. If you have no preference, we will find the most cost effective method for you.

We also offer local delivery to the Metro Washington DC Area.

Q: How long does it take to get a patent file history after I order?

If we don't already have it in our extensive data base of files, files retrieved from the United States Patent Office are often made available to us for photocopying within 4 - 8 hours. Actual turn-around times vary and will depend on the physical location of the file within the USPTO file storage system.

Q: I ordered an electronic patent file history, will I be able to receive it by email?

We have found that email servers will frequently reject large files. If you have ordered a file on our secure online ordering page, the file will be uploaded to our Patents Plus dedicated server and a link allowing access to the file will be provided on your order page. If you didn't order online a link will be forwarded to you via email allowing you to download the file.

Q: How am I invoiced?

We send an invoice with every completed job and reference your docket number for easy tracking. When ordering online, a link to your invoice can be found along with your completed job under your order page.

Q: Can you retrieve Npl documents?

Yes We Can!!! Npl's (Non-patent Literature) are not available online and have to be retrieved form the Patent and Trademark Office. The majority of these documents are available within a few hours of ordering in all formats. Paper, PDF and, Text searchable PDF.

Q: How are your files indexed?

Our electronic files have the most detailed indexing in the industry. We don't just group the papers 1, 2, 3, ECT... so you have to look though every page. At Patents Plus we index not only the standards like application, amendments, and office actions but include every entry made into the file along with the date/dates entered.

Q: I have a large order but I am on a budget. Do you offer any discounts?

We understand costs are a major concern. Email your order and we'll let you know if any discounts apply. You may also call us at any time to discuss various options to limit costs to you and your clients.

Q: How can I pay my invoices?

We accept checks and Paypal payments. You can use your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, etc through Paypal.
